  3. You may well be right about the Village Bakery as the race limit is only 500. Anybody planning to go who is not pre-entered is well advised to check with the organisers before travelling.

  6. Hi Gray,

I've just had a look and it sounds interesting. Funnily enough, I use a 3:1 approach myself and have improved since I adopted it. I do a long run on day 1, a tempo run on day 2 and a speed or hill session on day 3, then I rest and repeat the cycle. It really works....

  7. Hi everyone,

fancy a brand new multi terrain 10k event early in the New Year to get 2011 off to a fantastic start?
The Blymhill 10k [and 3k fun run] is being held on 9th January at 11.00 [organised with DK running club]. Blymhill is a small rural village not far from Telford, Newport, Wheaton Aston etc and the run is set in stunning open countryside.
Should be a fantastic event so come and join us.

You can enter on line via Runners World or e mail Blymhill10@yahoo.co.uk and I'll attach one to you,

    thanks

  8. For a multi-terrain race with a twist see the Shropshire Shufflers web pages for the Haughmond Handicap - this year's race is on May 6th 2012 at the Sundorne Sports Village in Shrewsbury. It's aprox 9 miles on old canal cycle track and through woodland at Haughmond Hill. The slower runners are set off early at intervals based on anticpated race times ensuring fun at the finish line.
