Please Note: A provisional date of Friday 15th June (7:30pm / Juniors 6:45pm) has been set for the Severn Loop 5km Summer Race. The Winter event will take place on Thursday 27th December 2012 (10:30am / Juniors 9:45am).
The Severn Loop 5km race which took place on Tuesday 27th December 2011 attracted over 140 entrants and resulted in a new course record of 15:14 by Joe Brocklehurst (Stratford-upon-Avon). A full race report will be published in the Shropshire Star/Shrewsbury Chronicle in due course, in the meantime, published below are category winners for the senior men and ladies.

New race from a new club.If you have seen a flash of orange at recent events it will probably be owned by a member of a Trismart runner.This new club based in Ellesmere,Shropshire is putting on a trail race at the end of September around Colemere.For more information check out their website

ReplyDeleteIs the Severn loop race open to everyone?, started running with a girl from work a few weeks ago, mainly to get fit but fancied taking part. Do men and women run a separate race

ReplyDeleteThe race is all standards and men/women all run in the same race. You can register on the day in the bottom room at the Boathouse pub. Come along and have fun.......

ReplyDeleteMy name has not been entered correctly in the Severn loop Winter 5k results (due to my dodgy handwriting on the entry no doubt!). My time might not be brilliant but it was a PB so I am quite keen to link it to my profile on the RunBritain site. I was 37th and named in the results as Michael Peering instead of Michael Deering. Is it possible to correct this?

can someone please tell me if there is a running club in Ellesmere Shropshire? I run alone but really want to also run with a group to keep up my motivation but I cant seem to find anything at all on the internet and am at a loss of where to ask. Jess x
